Terms of Service | Side Bet Buddy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Side Bet Buddy ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of Side Bet Buddy, including users who register accounts and visitors to sidebetbuddy.io.

2. Description of Service

Side Bet Buddy is a social platform that allows users to document and track friendly wagers between friends. The App provides:

A bet tracking system for friendly wagers between users
NFL pool features including Pick'em, Survivor, and Squares
In-app messaging between friends
User profiles and social features

3. No Financial Transactions

Side Bet Buddy is not a gambling platform and does not facilitate financial transactions of any kind.

We do not accept, process, hold, or transfer money
We do not connect to bank accounts or credit cards
All bets tracked in the App are friendly wagers settled outside of the App between users
The App is not licensed as a gambling or financial services provider

Users are solely responsible for any real-world arrangements made as a result of bets tracked in the App. Side Bet Buddy LLC is not responsible for any disputes between users regarding real-world settlements.

4. User Accounts

To use Side Bet Buddy you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Register with a valid email address
Provide accurate account information
Keep your password secure and confidential

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@sidebetbuddy.io.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Side Bet Buddy to:

Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Post offensive, illegal, or inappropriate content
Attempt to hack or disrupt the App or its servers
Create fake accounts or impersonate others
Use the App for any illegal purposes
Facilitate actual gambling or real money wagering through the App

6. Content

You retain ownership of any content you post in Side Bet Buddy. By posting content, you grant Side Bet Buddy LLC a non-exclusive license to use, display, and store that content for the purpose of providing the service.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate.

7. Advertising

Side Bet Buddy displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. By using the App, you agree to the display of these advertisements. We do not endorse any products or services advertised through Google AdSense.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Side Bet Buddy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

Side Bet Buddy LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to disputes between users regarding real-world bet settlements.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Sacramento County, California.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
